Jesus the Disruptor

Jesus entered the temple court, confronted the money changers, made a whip out of cords, and drove out the animals.  In this prophetic action, Jesus disrupted the old system of death and sacrifice, and signalled the new system of love and mercy is on its way.  Jesus is the final sacrifice.  As followers of Jesus we must never settle for dead religion but learn to live daily in the abundance of God’s life-giving, self-giving love.
